People that slow down for the bridge are a whole different subject.

I've been pulled over twice getting on the bridge from the Southshore. I've also seen several other people get pulled over.
The speed limit stays at 35 mph for about 1/2 mile or more until you are on the bridge -- which is f*cking ridiculous. It should be no less than 50 mph as soon as you get on the bridge. The cops hide in the "extra lane" on the right which is somewhat hidden. I got pulled over going no more than 45 mph. Both times it happened at night. I was let go "with a warning" but it was clear that the cops in both cases were looking for drunk drivers.
Having the speed limit stay at 35 mph for such a long stretch is a safety hazard.

Here's a novel idea get off the phone and drive.
It's a straight bridge. If you manage to go over the rail old or new its called natural selection.
I drive it everyday without incident and survived so far.
