Weah is officially done with Celtic. He will immediately join the U20 team and will not be with Celtic for the Scottish Cup Final.

I'm glad he's skipping a pick up game to join us.

US Soccer's website appears to list 9 alternates for the U20s: Amaya, Amon, Araujo, Cappis, Carleton, Fernandez, Muse, Reyes, Torres. Seven have been in U20 camps in 2019, while Araujo was with the U23s in March, and Reyes was last with the US with the U19s in September.

One last thought for day on U-20s. I’d be shocked if (healthy) Julian Araujo wasn’t brought in for pre-Gold Cup #USMNT camp (if not on 23).

I’m glad Weah will be there and wish Sargent was going to be there as well tbh. He’s played something like 7 minutes in the last 9 games combined. I just want him on the field again.

He's going to be in the Gold Cup, that's the only reasonable explanation for him not being on this roster.

Nigeria just announced their roster and they did not include Villarreal's Chukwueze.

Nigeria is in our group with Qater and Ukraine.

Can you not be on Gold Cup if on here?

The Athleic had an interview with Ernie Stewart and he said it's basically two fold. One, Sargent is further ahead than the U20s and also it gives someone else a chance to show something.

This is without a doubt, far end away, the best roster we have ever put out for a World Cup. I’m pretty pumped to see what this team can do. I think the only question mark is in the defense. Glad to see Cerrillo get his shot. Kid definitely earned it.

2007 was pretty stacked at the time, and they did well in a tournament with a lot of lasting talent

Plus, that game where they beat the living shite out of Poland after Poland’s manager talked trash was hilarious

What did the polish manager say? We beat a Uruguay team with Suarez and Cavani. That tournament was great.

I vaguely recall him saying something about having like 10 Danny Szetelas, but I can’t find any reference to it, so I’m not sure that I’m not misremembering

Sucks for Ayo but I bet we get to see some of Dest on the wing now.

Just watched some highlights from that game yesterday after Sal Zizzo announced his retirement. Zizzo and Adu had two really nice hook-ups for goals in that one. What a time.

I don't think we'll see much of that.

Because he'll still be our starting RB. Won't be much of a reason to put him on the wing unless Konrad, Llanez, or Weah gets injured.
