Talked to a Grizzlies friend of mine and he told me they are trying to lose their pick this year so they don't owe it in the future. Their basic philosophy is: if we get a top 4 pick, cool, but we would rather just give away that pick then have the 6th or 7th

So I guess they will try to get up to like 9th or 10th position and then if they move up, cool. If not, they hand the pick to the Celtics. Just wondering how you guys think this effects the Celtics package and also if you think the Grizzlies can pass us and make our own pick better

A bad year to have a lot of picks IMHO.

And honestly you rather multiple picks spaced out and not clustered together

If the Pels have the 8/9/14/18/21 this year I'd want to trade at least 3 of those for good players and future pick(s).

That is way too many in one year. I would let Boston keep their 2019 and ask for their 2021 or 2022. Memphis trying to win is really helpful though in that hopefully we can pass them up.

How about draft and stashes? Are there first round guys this year who would be okay playing overseas for a year or two like Rubio or Saric?

If so, I think that's even better than trading for a future pick

It doesn't happen very often and I think it's even less likely now. As the salary cap has risen in the NBA there are fewer monetary reasons for high caliber Euros to hold out.

Haven’t seen many 1st round euro projections outside of Sekou other than the generic later round 7' Slavic centers we always see.

Weak year for Euros. Bunch of young ones become eligible next year.
