I just watched it. I really enjoyed it. It was a fun movie. Some of you guys take the fun out of everything. I wouldn’t mind a sequel to it.
Just finished it.
Enjoyed it. A lot.
Actually felt like a Star Wars movie.

I was honestly bored. I wouldn’t call it bad. Just that I wasn’t interested at all in what was happening.
Same.
The actor that played Hans had zero charm or charisma. Was just a cardboard cut out speaking lines. He killed the movie for me.

Solo was trash. I could write an essay on why it’s trash, but it doesn’t deserve the time or effort.

Solo was far from perfect, but c’mon.
It’s a capable movie. If you’d never seen a Star Wars movie, it’s probably a pretty a fun sci-fi romp.

Just watched it and I came away impressed. Need to let it settle but I think I like it more than Rogue One. It’s certainly more light hearted and comical.
I thought it moved quickly and a few major happenings weren’t quite what I imagined...Han getting his name, meeting Chewie and Lando, and the Kessel Run. These are all major parts of Star Wars lore and just kind of happened, sometimes impressively, but without much fanfare so to speak.
I did think they did a nice job on character development and Han/Chewie being on and flying the Falcon for the first time felt like a big deal. One major thing positive that I take away from this one, it opened some doors and left me wanting more. I’d actually like to see a sequel made to explore some of the loose ends.

Just finished it.
It was a fun movie. I grew up with the franchise and base it on "would 10 year old me like it?" And it fits the bill.
Lots of action. Lots of nostalgia.
I actually laughed at some of the throwback lines and geeked out seeing the bounty hunter mask Lando wears in RTJ.
It was fun

I enjoyed it. Besides, I could watch Emilia Clarke watching grass grow.

I thought giving the robot a big booty and hips was odd. I couldn't quite figure out if that was supposed to be a joke or .....not.
Besides that it was fine. I do agree with others that there could have been more weight or set up for things that we all thought were big moments in his life.
I thought the war scene at the beginning was good/intense and I kinda wanted more of that to show how Han got hardened up a bit. And since we didn't get it I could totally be down for a war film star wars.

It was bad. The only semblance Of entertainment came from it not being as shitty as TLJ. Chewy was the only good part. Of the whole thing. I'm sick of masculine female. Characters kicking everyone's arse in these movies. It's simply not reality.

Watching now. Really fun movie. Much better than Last Jedi.

Just finished watching it. I haven’t enjoyed a Star Wars movie this much since the first three came out. It captured the whole original concept and felt like the original movie. I was there, I know.

this movie was good, I would of loved to see him dealing with Jabba at the end though.
I liked it a lot, felt like Star Wars to me.

Watched it this morning with my two year old. Loved it. I was not a fan of the female robot with a personality. I suppose if R2D2 could talk he'd be more like that, maybe. R2 was always kind of spunky, so I guess robots could have personalities.
Two things. One, Han Solo was a founding father of the rebellion, even though he didn't care about the rebellion. If not for him, it financially never gets off the ground. Two, the robot that "died" CPU is forever a part of the Falcon.

I also enjoyed it, watched yesterday.
-Nobody is talking about Woody's character. He saved that movie.
-Agree the Han actor wasn't great. Although, I really don't know who it could have been without leaving alot to be desired. If they did a casting call for 100 actors and he was the best, then it is what it is.
-The bad guy wasn't that intimidating. At no point did I ever feel like he was going to inflict harm on anyone, his evilness didn't carry through the screen.
-Escaping Kessel was a great scene, but I still felt somewhat underwhelmed. I feel like a whole movie could have been made out of the Kessel run, they tried to do it in 7 minutes.
As another poster said already... they probably shouldn't have tried to condense so much lore and history into 1 movie. Could have made two or three.

I finally watched it and I enjoyed it. To compare it to the MCU, it was Ant-Man of the Star Wars universe, just a lightweight, fun distraction that isn't really interested in the whole mythology of the universe. It only wants to be a pleasant diversion.
The movie's biggest issue is that it can't withstand the weight of the culture wars that have surrounded it. Right wingers are pissed about TLJ and took it out on Solo. SJW types are made about another movie centered on a straight, white male protagonist. Fanboys are protesting over the ruined childhoods or whatever. and frankly, this movie has nothing to do with any of that. It is a damn heist film, and heist films are fun, especially with Wookies.
It wasn't a great movie by any means, but it was a nice way to spend two hours. And frankly, I wish the Staw Wars universe had more detours like this. They have this massive mythology, and it's always reduced to the Skywalker family squabble. It's good to look outside of that, and even the Empire/Rebel dynamic. It was an adventure unrelated to the plot of the main films, but set in the rich universe they created.
