Honestly I am still gaining strength which is rare in a cut and extremely rare in a cut combined with only trace carbs

I’m not really surprised in the least. Meat provides much more than realized. I wonder if cutting the carbs to near zero, no greens at all, would matter.

Lol I forget to eat sometimes. Coworkers complaining they haven’t had lunch a 2 and hadn’t eaten a thing since this morning. So much easier to naturally fast and feast once you have time.

I went away this weekend, how’s the steak and eggs going?

Had a bad week. everything was going good u til Wednesday when they came into a meeting we were having and told me I had one day left until turnaround started instead of the planned 3 weeks. So I freaked and started stressing and had a triple cheeseburger and a whole basket of fries. frickers ended up not moving it up after all so I did it for nothing.

Then Friday I had a work event at the Houston rodeo so I cheated and then yesterday had a junior league event I cheated on.

Went ahead and prepped all my meals today for the week though. So should kill it until Easter.

As far as working out goes, been killing it and knocking out burpees pretty damn easy now. So I decided to go ahead and transition to the greyskull lci program running it twice daily.

Just got to make sure my rest is on point and I should start seeing drastic body changes.

So yesterday I got back on the diet and fasted until around 5. Had 75g of casein/whey and then last night after I got done lifting I hit up 50g of whey and 2eggs, 4 egg whites and 8oz flank steak.

for lifting I started the Greyskull LCI program and will be twice a day lifting and then after week 4 I will start the morning walks. I have 14 weeks until my vacation so gonna hit it hard until then.

Morning session

Lift- Squats- 305 x 4/4
Weighted Chins- BW+25 x 5/5
BW x 9

Circuits- 5 rounds
Squats- 95lbs x 5
Push Press- 85lbs x 5
V-Handle Pulldown- 130 x 5

Interval- no interval due to being fasted

Afternoon Session

Lift-

Shoulder Press- Following 5/3/1 Boring but Strong Protocol of 10 sets of 5. Started at 100 and will add 5 lbs for weeks I get all the sets easily, 2.5 for those weeks I struggle. Got all 10 with no problem.

EZ Bar Curl- 85lbs x 12/10

Circuit- 3 rounds - 20 seconds rest between rounds

Power Clean-155 x 3
Barbell Row- 155 x 5

Interval- burpees 30s on/30s off for 4 min
10/10/10/10

ended up just doing by 10 burpees and that usually takes about 23s and resting the other 37s.

I will lift at lunch and at night today. Really trying to get more sleep too instead of the current 5-6 hours.

Shawn Baker's lab results were talked about on Robb Wolf's podcast. His numbers weren't pristine, but he is by no means dead either.

Also, Baker was reissued his medical license yesterday, for those that watched him on Joe Rogan, he went into that fiasco a bit and was obviously bitter about it.

In 3.5 full weeks of eating like this I lost 12 lbs. Gained it all back in the last 3.5 weeks and was sitting back at 210 at the start of this week. It was to be expected as one aspect of my job has me managing large turnaround projects in the plants and they are stupid stressful. I was able to lift during this turnaround though which made a huge difference.

I started the greyskull lci program strict this week. Will be doing this along with a form of the warrior diet with iron addicts modifications for lifters for the next 15 weeks.

My solid meals though will consist of lots of steak and eggs and on non lifting days will exclusively that.

Modifications to the warrior diet will be using Pepto pro protein. It's different and tri peptide proteins aka hydrolyzed casienate that his the blood system as fast as bcaas but with much better protein synthesis response. Also will be using a pretty intricate intra workout protocol.

As far as sthe steak and eggs diet, I learned a few things

1) I absolutely love steak way too much and never get tired of it.

2) I get sick of eggs quickly if I don't care how I eat them

3) if I ever do this again it will be the steak, eggs and maybe some strawberries or blueberries only and an avocado. No salad. This is because it's easy to overeat for me.

4) I would only do one meal a day. For the same reason above. I found it very easy to overeat on calories when doing this type of meal twice daily. I have no issue eating 3 lbs of steak a day if it's a very good quality. This stalled my progress.

5) the salad did keep me pooping a ton, maybe too much.

6) be more careful with the butter. Again, it was easy to over eat. Many days it was hard not to eat 4k in calories and this was stalling my progress.

7) no hiit. Only heavy lifting or concentrated lifting like Vince recommends. The metabolic conditioning sessions where too hard.

It was mostly water weight. I actually looked pretty good but honestly I look better now cause I'm not stressed and ragged looking like I get right before and during turnarounds

I'd say drop the greens altogether. You wont die.

I'm not eating the salad either. Vince only had people do that if they had problems on steak and eggs alone. I am gonna start logging my meals here and workouts in 60 day conditioning thread for now since it's what I am doing.

motherfricker....i'm slowly converting you to the dark side.

One day you'll look at the steak, then the hummus...then the steak again, and say frick it.

I don't pass on steak for hummus. And I have always been a steak guy and truthfully a low carb guy, it works for me for cutting.

But it's not for everyone And I'm never drinking fricking piss like the wacko says to do

Awe frick him and his snake piss. You know a ribeye is secretly calling your name.

hell, my last three days have been ground beef, eggs, bacon, and some breakfast sausage...even the pemmican I made is primally satisfying. We got railroaded at work, so I went to easy, already bought, meals. I am on notice to grab my cow in a month so we are excited. With another after he properly fattens up in the spring.

I did Vince’s steak and egg diet a couple of years ago and really liked it. Even took the kelp tablets recommended. He said that the iodine derived from kelp can trick your thyroid into going into a fat loss mode. Has anybody ever done research on that claim? Some other stuff I read about Vince was that he claimed the best ab workout was vacuums. He said that you shouldn’t do ab workouts until you can see them. He was the first person that said sit-ups were more of adversary to your back then a help to your abs.

My favorite bodybuilder Serge Nubret was doing a lot of Gironda diet and lifting tactics and he never even met Vince from what I know.

Steak and eggs diet was wonderful for me and it lead me to discovering the anabolic diet which I have been on for 2 years now. You ever tried the anabolic diet?
