Why do all these NFL teams keep wanting to hire NE assistants?

Green Bay has requested to talk to McDaniel. Cleveland, Denver, and some team I can’t remember maybe Arizona want to interview the LB coach Florio. How many Crennels, Weis’, Patricias, McDaniels first stint do we have to have before these teams figure out these guys aren’t Bellichick and Brady’s not coming with them?

Same reason everyone wants Sabanites.... it's just the way it is. Coaching trees are successful more often than not. IMO

Well, New England’s hasn’t been at all. I guess they all think they are finally going to hit the jackpot with these Patriot duds.

O’Brien has probably been the best of them, but that ain’t saying much.

Would you count Saban as part of the tree? Heard he's decent.

O'Brian and Vrabel have done well too.

NFL GMs have a pretty bad* track record when it comes to evaluating and rewarding players and coaches.

Vrabel? How do you figure? He took over a 9-7 playoff team that won a playoff game, and went 9-7 but didn’t make the playoffs.
Also, I didn’t know Saban ever coached in New England? Must have missed that part of his career.
I mentioned O’Brien who almost got canned last year, but has done ok this year.

Vrabel did what he did with a team that lost 5 defensive starters, including the beat player on the team. Four offensive starters, including Delaine Walker for the year and his QB and still almost won 10 games.

This team was way better coached than last years and he did a great job all things considered.

That's fine, Vrabel as a first year as first year HC has done well.

What other coaching trees out there interest you? Chiefs and LA staffs are getting alot of attention.

That doesn’t disprove the idea that the Belichick coaching tree hasn’t been successful.
Weiss sucked
Crennell sucked

I know that. My OP said New England coaches, not Belichick coaches. Many of these get hired because of Brady as well as Belichick.
