Not true.....I read just a few days ago on The Rant that since the CEO hire, recruiting has declined.

Recruiting has declined, that doesn’t mean it can’t rebound or that we can’t have a good year this year..

This looks like a monster recruiting year and early indications look good for 2020 as well but none of that means anything until LSU receives paperwork.

FWIW, this is supposed to be in O’s wheelhouse, so I’d expect him to at least challenge Smart and Fisher, if not Saban, in terms of recruiting classes year in/year out.

Well this thread has gone off the rails.

It may be way too ambitious, but if we can finish with Ika, Pickens, Lee and Dean we could have an amazing class. Throw in Raydarious Jones and Jay Ward and we can call it a day.

Alright Santa Clause, I want to believe.

No it didn’t . We just recruited for need . We did t need that many playmakers . Every year we get top 5 playmakers in country ,but lack in the big uglies. Last year we paid attention to that area. That doesn’t make it a bad class . Linemen sometimes take a little longer to develope . They need to get stronger and work on their footwork sometimes. In highschool most kids aren’t coached correctly about balance and footwork. . You survive on size alone.

Do you folks not have the ability to comprehend more than a portion of a statement.

You quote only this portion of my statement statement
quote:

Recruiting has declined,

As though I am talking about the potential ranking of this class rather than the previous years recruiting rankings.

Here is the full statement.

quote:

Recruiting has declined, that doesn’t mean it can’t rebound or that we can’t have a good year this year..

This looks like a monster recruiting year and early indications look good for 2020 as well but none of that means anything until LSU receives paperwork.

I think the full statement clearly shows what I was talking about. But to clarify, recruiting has trended down since O took over, not necessarily unexpected when a new coach takes over (though one of his selling points was that it wouldn’t). This year should reverse that but what we see now is effectively a mid year poll.

A couple of flips would drop our ranking significantly and others may move up as well. Next year looks very promising as well. Even if that happens, I expect us to finish higher than last year. Post signing days we will know if the ranking have improved, which I fully expect it will. And even if it doesn’t we still recruit at an elite level

Better?

Geaux Tigers... Our LSU recruiting ranking will always reflect our Louisiana talent... and some cherry picking from the SEC states.
