I asked the same question yesterday....was told that Big Ed is injured and Shelvin is out of shape and riding the pine. Not sure who gives us depth now at NT?

When LSU plays more run oriented teams I think you'll see more dline and dline rotation.

Florida, UGA, State, Bama, and TAMU all try to establish the run.

Ed played 15 snaps against Ole Miss. He played over 30 against Auburn. He has a chronic knee injury that needs rest so if its a blowout or a more pass oriented team he doesn't need to be out there all game

Big Ed has been playing all season. He is #2 behind Fehoko. He has not laid out any games although his playing time has varied

Shelivin needs work on weight and conditioning.
No rice in the Gumbo but tomatoes are ok.

is there no one else who can take snaps at the nose? our line would be more dangerous, imo, if fehoko was playing end.

it does look like shelvin is related to valentine.

Shelvin isn’t playing unless it’s a blowout

Alexander has played in every game

They'll have more of a presence against run heavy teams. When teams spread it out and go uptempo, they don't contribute as much because of their conditioning and size.

I am very surprised we haven't seen a short yardage or goaline package that gets the big guys on the field. We have stayed with 3-4 personnel on the goaline.
I'd like to see us with some 5 man goaline fronts that consist of Lawrence, Fehoko, Shelvin, Alexander, and Logan with White and Philips at LB

We need anyone to step up and play consistently next to Lawrence. We'll see everyone flash for a few plays but outside Rashard, we need stronger play from our DL IMO.

Have O and Aranda ever sat down with him and told him what he needs to do? How much they could use him? Assuming he's really as talented as many say (based on HS), the guy could become a really good player and a major contributor at 330-335. Glen Logan got it together.

Otherwise, Shelvin needs to be processed.

He will Ben processed this off season to get down to 85 limit. Especially if we don't have as many juniors leave as we expect

Alexander played quite a lot against Ole Miss. Didn't seem injured to me.

Alexander has played a lot of snaps. They’re keeping his pitch count down. He has bad knees

He's a freaking RS freshman who has lost 30+ in 2 years.

From all accounts his grades are fine so he's doing work in the classroom

It took Logan 3 years to get it together. Divinity also
If we cut every redshirt freshman who didn't contribute we would barely have enough bodies to practice.
