Stop right here. CHICKEN 65. Get it from India restaurant

Go to Bay Leaf. Try the chicken tika masala or the lobster masala (not very spicy), the lamb kalimirch or the lamb roganjosh (both are mildly spicy, and the chicken sagwala or the lamb sag (meat, spinach, spices). If you get either the lamb or chicken vindaloo, prepare for the heat.

We do not use cream in our home cooking. We may marinate with little yogurt. Cream is all westernized version. Also BR has pretty bad Indian Cuisine for authentic food.

I live in the Atlanta area now and am blessed to have access to the cooking of many Indian friends and a couple of good authentic Indian restaurants.

Not all curries have cream or butter in them. Vindaloo for example.

while it is definitely an excellent dish, it might light you on fire and burn from both ends. I would save it for another trip once you are accustomed to the spice level and over all flavor of Indian cuisine.
Lamb Vindaloo is my favorite Indian dish, but this is great advice.
You need to check your spicy food tolerance ego at the door, especially when they let you pick your spice level. Vindaloo can destroy your rectum.

Wife and I went to Bayleaf last night for a change of scenery and because she wanted curry without having to cook it herself.
Started with the Appetizer sampler that came with a Samosa, a Shrimp, some fried veggies, some fried potato cakes and some fried fish? Potato cakes were good and samosa was good. Might just get an order of the Samosas next time or try one of the Saag(cooked spinach?) dishes.
We went ahead and ordered the Lamb Roganjosh and the Chicken Vindaloo as we both like spicy food and have had pretty spicy curry at home and at other Indian restaurants while travelling.
They were both really good. I really like the clove/anise/cinnamon type flavors going with the lamb and she really liked the brighter more intense heat flavors going with the chicken. Had garlic naan and rosemary naan as well and they were both great. Plenty more on the menu for us to try so I think we'll definitely be back.

I would do Al-Noor over Bay Leaf
My favorite things to eat at Al-Noor are samosas, Pani poori, chicken 65 (previous three are appetizers), chicken tikka masala, the goat biryani (absolutely great), and tandoori chicken. Any of those things there are great to try. Have some buttered naan and rice with everything. I'll add that restaurant Indian food is different from homemade Indian food. But I don't think Bay Leaf and Al-Noor screw things up.
Just don't go to India's. I don't want you to hate us.
