He was the best part of the show. I would have guessed he was much older too.

I remember going with my mom's ex husband to his first pawn shop. He would buy coin proofs from him every paycheck. I remember him being a very nice man

He will be missed. I don’t watch the show anymore, but there was a time when I always had it on.

He seemed to enjoy what he did. Many people can’t say that.

The show when it first started made it seem he was in the US Navy in WWII, he was born in 1941 and joined the Navy around the mid to late 1950's and would serve in the Navy until 1976. I think that is why so many people thought he was much older.

Yeah, they did some segments that definitely gave the impression that he was WWII era. But maybe it was actually the old man's dad who served in WWII?

History Channel is running an Old Man highlight show tonight at 8. Rick and Corey are talking about him in the commercial so I guess they got them in front of the cameras quick this week.
