The majority of my video access as a kid was limited to PG-13 titles, so I did what I had to do and made it work with slightly less explicit material.

Red Planet.

Me and some other guys my age were talking at an afternoon Mardi Gras parade last year. We are all in our late 40s/early 50s, and we all got HBO with cable when it became available in the late 70s/early 80s shortly after we hit puberty.

Now being grown men, we ALL admitted unabashedly that back in the day, we'd be the first in the family to grab the HBO guide when it came in the mail, and scope it out for movies noted with "nudity" and "adult situations", etc., and mark our calendars for those broadcast times.

Sat through a lot of bad movies (and some good ones) just to see some stuff: 'Animal House' (the infamous sorority house scene), 'California Dreaming', 'Halloween', and best of all, 'The Lady in Red' with Pamela Sue Martin (Nancy Drew done grown UP!).

This was before VCRs, DVRs, etc.... so no pause, fast-forward or rewind.

Exact same thing here. When VCR's first came out and we figured how to record from HBO the first movie was called "Hard Bodies" it was as close to soft core porn as you could get and had great scenes to rewind and replay.
