I’m ecstatic, it’s time boys. It’s been way too long since we’ve seen the battlefield treatment for WW2 with the graphics we have at our disposal.

Normandy
Sicily
Holland
North Africa
Stalingrad
Kursk
Battle of the Bulge
Guadalcanal
Peleliu
Saipan
Okinawa
Iwo Jima
Midway

I can’t fricking wait! Operations is going to be unreal. After this though let’s return to BC3, it’s earned it’s turn to be next.

Was listening to the giant beastcast and they summed it up pretty nicely for me: this will probably be good, but a lot of us are still recovering from the endless WWII shooters that we were plagued with until COD4 finally hit. How many different versions of the Normandy invasion did we have to play? The fatigue was real. One of the big reasons WaW never stuck with me.

The concept doesn't excite me but I'll wait until they show us something until I have a final opinion.

That was years ago though, we’ve come pretty far since then in what games are capable of. My only disappointment so far is that it’s the same engine that BF1 is on, which I’ve played and didn’t feel quite right with. I’m hoping the random bullet spray deal being removed makes a difference to me

random bullet spray

Is this something only present on PC, or am I just not noticing it? All I know is I don't like the guns.

I dont think its just PC? I heard it referenced on a video that was talking about it being WWII before this thread broke and I thought "oh that explains some things"

Not sure Vietnam is something they would visit in this current political climate. I can see that being a not fun mine field to navigate. Plus they already went there with BC2, right?

Here's a weird thing the first BC did that I wish more games would do: gave you an option to turn off profanity in MP. I have no problem with cussing, but like in BF3, I'd rather not have some NPC yelling at me to "GET THE frick BACK ON THE BATTLIELD" when my wife is sitting there watching DWTS. I'm sure there are added production costs that come with that, but I'm not sure I've seen that feature in any other game besides that first Bad Company. Thought it was neat.

You don't wear a headset? Also, what the hell is DWTS? Some Kirk Cameron bullshite or something?

I do most of the time. But it's weird, if it's story/campaign stuff, it's whatever. Hearing that over and over during a MP match can be a bit much.

They took that out in 4, so maybe they realized nobody really liked it.

And don't tell me how to live my life.
