Looking for recommendations on places to stay near Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge

I am kind of looking for a cabin more near Gatlinburg closer to the mountains.Thanks

I just rented this one.
Can't tell you how it is because I've never been but it had great reviews and my buddy who live in PF went by and look at it and said it was nice. I can tell you that we did the cabin in the Mountains thing and if you want to stay in your cabin thats cool. We like to get around and be close to the action so this time we decided we wanted something closer to town. I aslo don't care to drive on narrow winding mountain roads, especially at night and many of the cabins have just that.

What type of cabin are you wanting? Bedrooms? Privacy? Do you want to drive up/down mountain roads to get to it? Do you want to be close to one of the towns where it doesn't take much effort to get out? What type of amenities? Arcades/hot tub/indoor pool/home theater? Sex cabin with heart bath tub and crazy showers?

We are going in July. Just today, we booked a cabin at Chalet Village. I haven't been since i was a kid.

We rented a cabin from Jackson Mountain Homes a few years ago and were very happy with them. Ours was outside of town, on a loop just off the highway, with enough woods between you and the nearest neighbor for privacy. But no difficult backwoods driving required to get there.
One of our neighbor cabins was Majestic View, and we loved its view out over a valley. It's just a 2-person one, but they offer all sizes.

check out a "neighborhood" called Black Bear Falls. Not right in town but very close and some great views. wasnt affected by the fires
