Hello all,
I have some family coming in town next weekend and they expressed interest in seeing some cool nature places in the NO area. Aside from swamp tours or the Barataria boardwalk, are there some cool/interesting places to visit?

If they’re from Alaska they are going to be awefully disappointed.
Maybe poverty point? That’s not close to NOLA though.

If you’re willing to drive a couple hours you can go to jungle gardens on Avery island, just south of New Iberia. This is also where tobasco is made and there’s a short tour with a store.

Its a tough time to see nature especially after these freezes. I came here to suggest Barataria boardwalks
