I want to ship some kingcakes to clients out of state. Where in NOLA would the board recommend? does any place with a good king cake take online orders?

Haydels is the best for situations like this. In addition to a damn good cake, they usually pack a mardi gras cup, beads, a mardi gras magazine. The used to put a pack of local coffee in it too, but I'm not sure if they still do that.

It just adds a special little touch for the out of state folks.

Yep. Similar price. Randazzos is better but Haydel's has a better package of stuff they send with it. Haydel's will ship immediately, Randazzos you'll have to schedule later.

Word of advice for you all thinking of ordering a cake to have it get to your out of state people on mardi gras day or the three or four days before..... I would make sure to have an order in with Randazzos by next week. They fill up their shipping days pretty quick.

Haydel's will have a little more flexibility, but don't want too long.

Looked online to send a KC to a friend who now lives on east coast. They don't have an option to ship just the king cake. All of the options have scrolls, trinkets, and other bs in a "package". Can you send just a king cake through them?

I've ordered from Manny's before with good success. They are just expensive.

Personally, I like the Rouses king cakes as well from when I lived in NOLA; tasty and cheaper. Not the best but pretty good. Due to the cost, I usually order my king cakes from them and have it shipped up here.
