I would love to have Joiner, but with numbers tight, and with Provens and Curry, we don't necessarily need to have Joiner. We'll likely get Noah Cain, Tyrion Davis, and John Emery in 2019 too, so we'll be fine with RBs IMO. Get Goodrich, Surtain, Chase, and Joseph, and that's a hell of a finish for a really good class. Would like to get Foster, but I think he goes elsewhere.

Apparently, Willis going elsewhere was a blessing in disguise, Jackson didn't amount to much either, Robinson and Collins cost LSU victories and McKnight was a descent runningback, but definitely not as good as advertised. But anyone that says LSU didn't want them to begin with is either straight up lying or ignorant. There are some players that went out of state that LSU didn't want, but of those five, yea, LSU wanted them.

We needed Joiner IMO he's much better than Curry or anyone else we currently have.

This is what happens when these players don't sign in December. Their offers disappear.

Joiner is by far better than any RB currently on roster.

Not even close.

He is not better than CEH.

And I think Curry is better than Joiner as well.

Yea everyone was cool with McKnight, Landon Collins, cam Robinson, Janzen Jackson , speedy Noil, Gerald Willis, et al going to other schools. No one here thought lsu "wanted them"

did fine without those 3, could have used the others...always been less about a "do or die get" and more about establishing dominance in recruiting territory....we have done well in Texas and Florida....

Bottom Line is, we win they'll stay, Winning always fixes those things.

I trust Mike Scarboroughs evaluations. He mentioned recently on radio that he would not take Joiner over the other 5-6 possibilities on the board. Not as a running back at least.

He also mentioned a down side to signing too many backs in light of the elite group coming up in 2019.
You recruit on a 3 yr cycle... what you filled last year, what you are getting this year, what you might get next year.

This Year: numbers tight and need at RB isn't that great because...

Next Year: with the RBs we have legit shots at it isn't worth the loss this year to sacrifice a need (DB) this year.

I don’t keep up enough with recruiting but I am genuinely asking this.

Why is it when a guy like Joiner takes his time but has been very positive towards LSU everyone says he had his chance.. yet when it comes to Chase everyone says he can take his time.

I am just wondering why people turned on Joiner for playing it out but other guys it’s okay. I actually didn’t think Joiner was that great but almost feel bad for him. Seemed like he was going to come here. He was always posting positive LSU recruiting support.
