Reno question: How far will 100K stretch when reno'ing about 2100 sq ft house

Say house is built in 1960-80s
around 2100 sq ft
would you be able to get new floors, new kitchen, 2 new bathrooms, interior paint etc

Totally depends. Can do it for half that number or twice that number depending on what's inside the walls and most importantly the finishes you select.
Laminate vs reclaimed wide plank flooring. $1.50/sq ft or $22.50/ sq ft.
3cm quartzite slab for $5500 or run of the mill 2cm contractor granite at $800/slab for counter tops.
Repeat these examples for every facet for the scope of work to be performed plus all the intangibles.
Whatever you think it will cost add 30%

I redid a house that was 2080 sq ft, 3 beds 2 bath. I gutted everything, redid the floor plan. Kitchen was high end, marble tops, white cabinets, SS appliances. Bathrooms had a custom tile shower in the master, tile bath surround in the guest. New tile in kitchen and bath, high end laminate everywhere else. redid electrical and some plumbing, paint and trim throughout. Cost me about $60k

Too many factors. Can you renovate that size house for 100k? Yes, but if you're moving walls, redoing any electric/plumbing, replacing old doors/windows, etc., it can go quick. And then your finishes determine a lot as well, type of floor/cabinets/tile/hardware/counters...

Like others have said, you can't say for sure without a lot more info, but generally yes you should be able to redo a house of that size for that much. I'd say with pretty high end stuff everywhere.

Really depends on how much you want to do. The money goes faster than you think. We are renovating about 2800 sq ft and ended up doubling original budget quickly. In our last house we prices just gutting and renovating the kitchen and the price tag was going to be 60k for just that room. Good luck.

Yes, very easily.
Now, if you are talking like a manhatten apt hell no.
But 100k to redo a kitchen, 2 baths, and re paint 2,000 sq ft to be like your avg $300-400k house can absolutely be done.
Tv shows are full of shite though, most of those use really low end crap that looks good to sell but wears horribly and falls apart quickly and their prices are still 30-50% too low.
I would definitely agree it won't be super easy and you can't go Miami cocaine dealer crazy, but as said you can re do them all like your avg $350k house no problem.

What's your time constraints, are you living in the house while said construction is ongoing?
I heavily suggest diy on at least the demo. It's not hard to tear shite out if you aren't trying to save stuff. Just removing cabinets/countertops/drywall in kitchen and bathroom yourself will save an easy 10k.
Throw in a couple YouTube videos and tile the backsplash/bathroom and install new flooring yourself and you'll save another 10k easily.
That being said I find the amount of diy done is directly related to how quick the wife wants it done.

Yes. Easily if you’re willing to do some of the work yourself. If you can self contract and if you Buy material right
I just did a 1900sqft house for around 70k. Brand new everything: plumbing (in wall and fixtures) electrical (re-wired house and fixtures), a/c, moved walls, all high end finishes, etc.
Plumber and electrician were the largest expenses (each around 8k).

This isn't true. A team of 2-3 guys will gut a kitchen down to the studs in 2 days, say $200/ day for each guy you are talking $1000 at most to gut a kitchen to the studs. Likely closer to $600-800.
Plus, if you have a crew that knows what they are doing they will gut it properly. As in cut back drywall to where it's most easily repaired, not cut through electrical or plumbing, etc.
Demo is not where you save money, demo is cheap. It's basically unskilled labor.
You save money on doing finishing work like laying tile, putting up lights, etc.
