Hate to rain on your parade, but they are both going to be removed IMO. Schumer has already called for hearings on Franken.....it's a trap for Moore. The Dem have no problem letting a liberal Gov in MN appoint a replacement. McConnell is the truly happy one in this scenario.

I think Dems have their message if the GOP is stupid enough to seat Moore(since Alabama is very likely to vote him in). Every single Republican will be forced on record to defend the action and it will be used in every single election ad and campaign stump across the country. You dumb Trumpkins are too stupid to see what even McConnell of all people can see with seating Moore.
Not being the party of old white men that defend touching underage girls as long as they vote with the tribe on tax cuts for the rich writes itself.
Those 70,000 votes across three states have given you Trumpkins a level of arrogance that rivals anything the Dems had in 2016.

In a few months Alabama will have a Democratic senator and at worst Franken will be replaced with a Dem. the most likely scenario in the latter is that Al finishes his term and does not run again.

McConnell has shown quite the capacity to defy all the odds and indications and flip around and do things that are insanely idiotic and harmful for his party when the Trump wing gets fired up. So sure, the possibility is there. Probably intensifies if some senators flip on the tax bill and their billionaire donors point to Roy Moore as being the company man he is.
