Didn't which forum to ask this in but any help much appreciated
I have a new brand new house and I had a fire pit built but contractor didn't help with lava rocks, hookup etc.
Anyone know anyone who can set up a fire pit? Gas is already ran to it.
Thanks

Should be pretty easy since everything is ran and built, I would watch a few YouTube videos and you could probably do it yourself for a lot cheaper and faster.

Are you asking how to spread lava rock?

Igniter. Place rock nearby. Shovel or hands. Spread rock.
Light. Pop a top

Post a pic of what you got. Seems like I saw fire pit stuff on far back wall in room to right at Goodwood hardware a couple years ago. They could probably help. Like others said gotta be easy if line is ran already.

Hopefully he put a gas key hole in the side for you.
If so you should be able to do everything relatively easily. a local fireplace or patio store should be able to provide everything you need. you could just as easily order everything you need from an online retailer like firepitsdirect.com
Here is what mine looks like, I went with brass. its a bit more expensive but will hold up to the elements better than stainless since mine is out from under my outdoor kitchen

Did you do this as an add on? What was total cost?
More pics would be great. Looking to complete one, likely no to this degree though.

Not to hijack the OP thread, but who did your shutters on each side of grill? And do they fold back accordian style to open up that area? Approximate cost? I'm Lafayette also and actually have Lafayette Shutters coming by the house tomorrow for a quote.
TIA

They don’t fold in they just prop out to allow a little more breeze and light in
I think the company that built them was architectural doors and windows but I’m not positive
