Watson has busted out of his mini slump in a big way. Easily the best hitter on the team right now.

They are contributing significantly, but not carrying. Lange and Poche's shoulders have been pretty broad the last 2 games.

Slaughters big hit really carried us against FSU. But him, Watson, Smith are all just unbelievable, we get to see them dominate for many more years

No, but Watson, Slaughter, Smith, and Hess are.

It's amazing that our Big 3 upperclassmen fielders have been terrible at the plate, and we are 1 win away from the Championship series. Although, I don't think we have a chance tomorrow if those guys don't step up at the plate.

He was 2-17 starting with the SLU game and going through supers. So, yes, "mini slump".

I understand what you're saying but there's more to baseball than offense and our junior pitcher got us through 7 and a third.

The top of the order has to start producing tomorrow because pitching won't win it tomorrow.

Everybody knows that. No one can discount what the other players have done. But you have to give kudos to the freshman for performing as they have. First time in Omaha and all the associated distractions that come with that. Still kept focus and contributed to our victories.

Future looks damn bright. This ballpark is supposed to be tough to homer in, and Watson, Smith and Slaughter all did it. Watson in particular becoming a man at the plate.

Hess has evolved beyond a man on the mound , and then you consider Walker should be ok next year too.

This is a very good core to return- not just returning starters, but possibly a couple All Americans (Watson and Hess).

Yes, can you frickin' believe we've made it this far with the top half of order hitting like they have?? We have our best ball still in us. Now it is like free baseball - maybe we'll relax and just have fun. Lange and Poche ain't done and neither are Kramer and Cole!
