there's only so many guys with limited athletic ability and questionable work ethic that you gotta snatch them up when they fall to you

Stone is slow as hell. He's a good player but no thanks. He's defense is dog shite. Ryan Anderson bad

Based on what?

Diallo is pretty much exactly what we need.

Finally get a young prospect to develop that has tremendous upside and people still whine and moan

Don't necessarily agree with you, but it's funny how many people are acting like it's a lock that Diallo will turn into something and Stone doesn't have a chance.

Stone has much less upside than Diallo. Stone has limited athleticism, no defense, and worse, an attitude that suggests he doesn't care about defense. His offensive skill set is overrated too.

I honestly am pretty impartial one way or another because I know little about this guy but generally when it comes to the second round - for a team like us that needs some guys to groom on cheap contracts - I would generally prefer 2 rolls of the dice instead of just 1.

But we got Hield and really that makes me happy. The rest is just lagniappe. And I can be probably be easily sold on this guy with a few well articulated posts.

Dell loved Faried coming out and had some regret about not being more aggressive to go get him years ago. He wasn't going to make that same mistake with Diallo, who Erman also loves and will take on as a pet project

I don't think he gives us anything for two years, but you all know my single goal is to be good by 2019. A Diallo/AD frontcourt could be amazing defensively and in transition in 2019. Not good. Amazing.

Fun Fact: Stone had 7" hands. The average NBA has almost 10" hands.

I'm pretty sure that's most rational fan's goal at this point.

I'm not that concerned about this year. I just hope they make smart moves with a long term plan in place to be patient, develop talent, and acquire movable assets.
