LOCOTURE. NO contest. He started as a true freshman and is ready to be the disruptive force in the middle that we have become accustomed to having at LSU until recent years. He is going to Brockertize the middle

Gotta go with Danielle Hunter, I think he's got all the stuff to be a beast at DE. Look at the dude he's ripped up like Rambo, looks like moffits got him eating the dumbbells!

Bain
Reason #1: when the coaches and players were asked about a young guy to watch out for in 2014, almost all of them said something positive about Bain.
Reason #2: the Big Cat Drill. Just looking at how dominate he was versus every OL was extremely impressive. Plus this kid has massive arms and lower body for a redshirt freshman. He reminds me of Bennie Logan but bigger. I think he is going to really surprise some folks.

Bain is a safe bet for young guy to see a lot of reps.
The guy I am most excited about seeing is Tashawn Bower. He, opposite Hunter, give us something we haven't had in a very long time. Great edge pass rush plus adequate run stopping ability. I think this kid blows up.
My prediction for DL at season's end is
DE - D. Hunter
DL - C. LaCouture
DL - Q. Thomas
DE - T. Bower
With Rasco starting but Bower seeing a lot of reps.

He doesn't move like a typical DT either. Will probably be the quickest DT we have had in awhile

The Bain vs Voorhies masks will be something to watch in the next few years in the stands...

He does move pretty well. It's funny that many schools were recruiting him to play OL and he might turn out to be our best DL before he leaves. Great evaluation by the staff.

Yes, it's a legitimate response. It's one of about eight legit responses, so 12.5% chance a non-racist, or non-troll, would pick him. Same at LB. At QB in 2011 it was 50%. On the oline, it's maybe 2 of 10. When you pick the white guy EVERY time, the odds of it being a coincidence is about 0.15%, or about 1 out of 700. Oh, I forgot the 50/50 at fullback last year, so 1 out of 1400 chance that you're not a troll or a racist. And that's just the ones I definitely remember. I think you were picking Rivers over AJ last year, which would put the odds near 1 of 3,000, but I'm not sure of that one.
BTW, I'm white, and the sort who makes fun of people's race, ethnicity, religion and sexual orientation, because I think that stuff is funny. So I'm not uptight about it. I just think your attitude is funny, too, and I'm trying to figure out whether you're a troll or a bigot. I think you're both; when posters started noticing your bigotry you started trolling. Just a theory, though.
Everyone who doesn't understand or defends TIGRLEE needs to read this. It's not that he wants certain players to succeed and thrive, we all want that for the whole team. It's that he is guaranteed to be in certain threads and promoting or bringing down a certain type of player. When players make mistakes, we know which ones he will attack. When players do well, we know which ones he'll give the credit too. I also think he became this character on here, and now just rolls with it to play the part.

At this point it's easier and more amusing for me to go along with it.
There's lots of posters here that are obsessed with race, I'm not one of them.
But FTR only player I've really ever openly criticized more than Once was JJ.
That's where all this originated from.

Hunter will be the best player, but I think Herron is going to surprise some people.

I don't think you're a bigot, you are too well crafted for that.
I just rewatched 2 games from last year and 2 from 2011. The difference in our offense is astounding. The 2011 offense had no creativity whatsoever. They just lined up and hit you in the mouth. Both QB's had major flaws, and I think the coaching staff wasn't entirely sure what they wanted from each of them. They were an incredibly tough and strong team though. Last year's offense was much closer to an NFL style system. I look forward to seeing what Cam can do with the players he recruited!

I am surprised no one has even mentioned Teuhema from what I saw looking at most of this thread.
He may be underrated as a 3 star recruit--but wasn't Bain also a 3-star? But he could be red-shirted to try and get his weight up closer to a DE's usual level.
For sure at least two need to step up from the group of Herron, Bain, Gilmore, Q Thomas, Trey L, Valentine, Neal and Teuhema, and even Mickey Johnson.
Most are aware of Lecoutre and Bower.
