I have standard 47D's, but have never liked how they protrude so much from the bottom. Makes for a less comfortable grip. Has anyone used their Lo-Profile mags (7 or 8rd)? Do they make a considerable difference? More comfortable?

I have 47D's for my SA Mil-Spec and I can't quite figure out how they affect the grip one way or another. You must be a teacupping sumbitch....

To be honest it's not really at the range, just general handling or dry-firing. So I guess I'm really just a nitpicking sumbitch.

But I do know Wilson makes a great product. You can't go wrong either way.

This. I never had an issue with any of the 4 or 5 1911s I owned.

Look you idiots... , it's not an "issue" I'm just wondering how the lo-pros handle.

I have several of them, and they've worked just as flawlessly as my Wilson 500's that I normally use.

Wilson sells 7&8 round mags with no bumper at all. Nothing protrudes from the bottom of the gun at all. They are nice and lower cost.

I too prefer the polymer followers in my 1911 mags. I put Wilson springs and followers in my 10 round Checkmate mags and they run great.

Wilson Combat and trash are not 2 words that I normally associate with each other...

Whoa, pump the brakes big guy. That follower is pretty standard in most 1911 mags no matter the manufacturer. The much better option is the black polymer follower that Wilson offers.

+1 especially if you're going to load several mags in one sitting. That metal will tear your fingers apart.
