The designed runs are fine he just needs to know when to call it quits on running plays and go down. He has a RB mentality in that he goes for the extra 2-3 yards when he doesn't need to. Or at least he has in the 2 games I've watched him this season (ATL and NYG).

Yeah, he needs to learn how and when to slide. It's something Vick never mastered and has cost him significant amounts of time.

he has been sliding, i watch every game after the game vs the falcons he has been getting out of bounds and sliding not taking shots. He takes more shots in the pocket.

This. He even came out after the ATL game and said he can't afford to take shots and he is executing on what he said, his out of the pocket hits have dropped significantly.
