If I wasn't selfish and dedicated to #teamg.kellysadface;( I'd change my sig pic to lacours avatar and put Tim McGraw "angry all the time" lyrics as my sig quote.

my 13 year old son and I love all the same shows, so we spend a lot of time together.

That is awesome. Spend as much time with him as possible. He may leave the nest an stay away for many years. I recently moved back over to my parents and can't believe how much I love being around them. My dad and I watch ballgames together but I can't handle his other favorites (Duck Dynasty, Gold Miners in Alaska, guys surviving in the woods, guys fishing, guys cutting down trees, etc.). He also watches "The News" from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. every night. At 81, he still likes doing yard work. I get out there with him some. It's just like when I was a kid-he has to show me exactly how to do everything. It used to make me mad. Now, I love it.

I should warn you about a big problem I have on bulletin boards. Sometimes I think someone out there gives a crap about me.

Not an OT guy so I never did one of these threads. Maybe people would have cared if I had.

Seriously there are some great guys and gals on here. Some of them have given me some great movie recommendations. Some will keep you on your toes. Late night posting here is great. Some expatriated Americans that participate from exotic places. Some military guys & girls. Some people like me that just keep weird hours.

Glad to have you but your name scares me. I hope you're not "The One" that occasionally takes over my keyboard causing me to lose large posts or hit "Submit" before I'm finished. If you are that guy, be warned, I'll get you back.

By the way LsUCIFER, what did you think about:

Drive?

Tree of Life?

Louisiana reality shows?

The History Channel not showing history?

The way The Sopranos ended?

Dottie dropping the ball on purpose?

The 3rd version is pretty underrated too.

I will work on another one for next week. God those are so awesome, and I read them every so often just to laugh.

Post pics of yourself on the fark board, it's the only plausible way.

Don't worry, I'm not under any illusions that anyone actually gives a crap . The OT is good for some laughs, and I'm no stranger to OT message board mentality, but the OT board here just moves way too fast. It's readily apparent that there are some good peeps here on the Movie board, and just the right amount of them so that topics hang around long enough for meaningful discussion.

How would you react if your mother got you invictus for Christmas instead of inception?

I'd feel like I just received a movie that I only had to watch once to understand.

Thanks for the welcome. And despite what some think, I wasn't trying to sound all "O-T baller" with the 80" thing. I spend a lot of time watching tv and enjoy good movies immensely. I think far too many people don't make a proper investment in a nice big tv. My father has a huge living room, money to spare, yet has a 46" plasma. All the time I walk into peoples' homes who can easily afford a much nicer tv than what they have. Maybe they just don't value their viewing experience as much as I do - kind of like people who spend a third of their life in their bed but have a crappy mattress. People are quick to bankrupt themselves to have a nice car in the driveway though. I really, really enjoy a good movie and, relative to the joy that it brings me, think my tv is the best investment I've ever made. Like I said though, I spend a LOT of time in front of the tv since I'm home on disability, so maybe I just appreciate the experience more than most people.
