Shea reported earlier this evening that the deal is not done but you can read between the lines that he will be the new hire just finishing the last details of the contract.

I’ve never seen a hire split 50/50 down the middle like the Raymond hire with fans.

There’s always a middle-ground, and many things can be true at once. I don’t care for Corey Raymond, but I wish him the best and hope for his success. If that doesn’t happen, I’ll verbally hold him for that again. And if I’m wrong, that’s exactly why you leave room in your worldview for people to change or figure it out.

It is a little annoying we were able to grab an up and coming DC, the best DL coach in the country, one of the best edge coaches in the country, and unemployed Corey fricking Raymond is the one who’s the toughest to negotiate with
