If this were 2020, he’d have still been there but would have been beaten to death by a 20 year old also being housed there.

What a weird convoluted story.
I’m sure the basic story is true. But it’s not a nursing home. It’s independent senior living.

If you read between the lines, it’s an apartment complex for seniors that likely now houses some illegals. That’s the story.
There’s also some obvious lies.

As late as November 11th, Frank was a resident of the building. The building is still open. There’s still seniors living in it. It’s just up for sale.

Are illegals being housed at government expense? That’s the question and the story. Trying to add in a random veteran is meaningless.

Same story, but from the NY Post today. I suspect that the NYState made 'em an offer they couldn't refuse or maybe just a juicier financial deal.
