I thought that described us but Oregon state has the problem way worse. They also have trouble with lefties. I think our pen is perfect to go against them.

Remember ack and coopers last outings?

I was actually reading a website before the game yesterday that thought we could and should start Coleman . He seems to be a good matchup against them. That gives me a good feeling that he probably will be the starter and should be effective.

To be fair, Hurd's breaking ball was filthy yesterday. He pitched like the 1st round talent that he is.

Supposedly they’ve struggled with left handed offspeed bad all year

That makes me feel pretty good about having 4 LHPs left to throw. All of whom have been effective and all of whom can go more than 1 inning.

This.

He was commanding that curve and because of it got a few calls that went in his favor.

That stuff yesterday from Hurd was top shelf.

Exactly. He was dealing some nasty shite that anyone would have a hard time hitting. Most of his pitches were starting so high and breaking down it was hard for the batters to even sit on a curve.

Then he added in very good to great location on his straight stuff.

I would add that a more consistent strike zone would have enhanced Hurd's game even more. The inconsistency on the outside corner to righties made it very difficult to know what would get it done.
