Gorge Santos is a symptom of the press not doing its job

Remember when journalists’ job entailed finding out the truth?
Why didn’t they vet Santos? The “press” will expend massive efforts to demonize him to keep the spotlight off of themselves.
Him getting elected is entirely their fault for not doing any basic vetting of him.

It's also a symptom of both parties not doing their job. The republican party didn't vet him and the democratic party was lazy in opposition research.

Actually the local papers did report on it but locals voted for him anyway.
