After the injury to Mason Smith and a couple of defensive backs, we had to make do with the limited options we had going forward. Take away Perkins (Although non existent the last game) we might be staring at 6 loses already. I’m hoping that BK can get more big recruits in here and hit the portal for more. One major thing that bothers me a lot is the fact that BK could not get this team up for A&M and that no adjustments were made in the second half. As far as JD, if he cannot progress into spreading the ball downfield, we will need better options going forward. Special teams need a complete overhaul. Just my thoughts.

I'm sure there were adjustments. We just have so little depth in the front 7 that it wouldnt of made a difference. We have guys who have played 60-70 snaps in every game this year, eventually that wont work out.

I can definitely agree with that.

Y’all are gonna feel real silly about these posts a year from now, same way I did a day after Tennessee.

We lost one of our lynchpins on defense in the first game of the season, every other poor showing saw injury at key position(s).

With tenner it was OL + Burns.

Arky was a write-off — flu game in an easy letdown spot on a frozen field against an underrated team on the road.

A&M without converse & we STILL prob win that game if Daniels reads the handoff.

This team’s issue is depth. We already knew that because again… started a WR at QB in last bowl game.

TLDR: The loss sucked, but y’all are overreacting.

The adjustments were made in the 2nd half. The defense looked great on the first 2 drives like they normally do coming out at half. Not putting all the blame on JD but that fumble/ scoop and score literally took all of the momentum out of the team

And especially if Lacy makes at least 1 of two easy catches.

Exactly. The A&M game exposed why we really need another DT or two in this year's recruiting class.

Dude they’re 6-6 and just lost to Missouri.

I’m not sure I’d consider them underrated.

If you thought 2022 was makeshift, wait until 2023

No we need 2 in the portal.

And we just lost our top ID commit. Supposedly we may have a better option to replace him but no commitments, yet.

Huh?

LSU lost because they looked ahead to UGA.

I think one of the problems is that we don't have any solid gap linebackers. Yes, Perkins can get in the backfield and cause havoc, but no linebackers on this team can play between the tackles effectively: read your keys, shed blockers, step up into the whole and make a tackle. A good middle linebacker is the difference between a 9 yrd. run and a 3 yrd. run. Think Kevin Minter, or Patrick Willis in the pros.
