There are probably multiple better ones. I only say that because there are many that aren’t as limited as him at the moment. Perkins, being a freshman, just doesn’t have a full grasp of the playbook yet and isn’t as disciplined as other linebackers, that’s why he hasn’t been on the field as much as we’ve wanted. That isn’t a knock against him, that’s a really tough ask for a true freshman. Now next year I think he’ll be a top 5 LB in the country, and after his junior year he’ll probably be a top 10 draft pick.

He’s top 3 along with Will Anderson and Nolan Smith. Top 2 forgot Smith got hurt for the rest of the season against Florida.

Is will Anderson really a LB/? Clemson got a dude named Simpson he’s legit. Can’t think of anyone else as impact as Perkins...

Uh, Will Anderson, Nolan Smith, and Xavian Sorey? Also probably that Bama linebacker with the really weird name that's like To'to or something? Perkins is special and I won't be remotely surprised if he ends up going in the top 10 in the 2024 (or is it 2025?) draft, but let's be real. There are multiple day 1, upperclassmen linebackers in the SEC. We also just saw Georgia stop Tennessee cold on the back of linebacker play. Perkins has all the talent in the world, but he's not there yet, and that's why he wasn't on the field all the time until last week.

come on guys.. there are 4 SEC players that are projected top 10 picks in the NFL draft. Should I do the entire first round?

And Harold would eat all of them for a snack then pick his teeth with Nick Saban.

I know there are different roles & responsibilities so not always easy to compare.

Perkins is the most disruptive player in CFB I've seen this year. Period.

He’s like a mix of Matthieu and Patrick Peterson, but as a linebacker, defensive end and nickelback!
