Was Tessitore fighting back tears after Banks’ injury?
Posted by Nix to Twillie

Sounded like he was getting choked up on the air.
I like Tess. He’s passionate about football and cares about those that play and coach it.
Good dude.

He seemed pretty upset. Anytime a player goes down like that it is pretty scary.
I do think he would have been better to talk less and not try to talk all the way through it. Hard to say what any announcer should have done in that situation.

Shit, I was choked up a bit watching it. I honestly thought he was paralyzed.

It was an odd sight seeing him carted off with his helmet still on

Best way to immobilize the head and spine is to not move that helmet. Just remove the cage so providers have access to his airway if needed

I like him as well. He's passionate when he calls boxing, too.
I know people who think he gets a little over the top and blabbery during broadcasts, but I think the dude just loves sports and loves his job. I'm sure he was sincerely upset when Sevyn got hurt.

Especially, after what happened with Tua a few days earlier.

He was HORRIBLE the first year he broadcasted. He has improved since.

He’s so over the top with every emotion.
This situation was tough but in general he’s so exhausting.
