I don't know who Morgan Wallen is but Jason Isbell is a singer/songwriter guitar slinger.
Morgan Wallen is the new up and coming Jason Isbell.
Check out his song Up Down on youtube, featuring Florida Georgia Line.
It's pretty damn catchy. It's not traditional country, more like rural pop, but that's where the money is right now so that's how he's recording. At the core of all his "pop" songs is a country song if you strip down all the glitter and glam to just acoustic and vocals. I like him.

Anybody here doubt for a second that “founder of black music collective” has never used a racial white slur in his/her life?

Isbell was one of my most favorite artists. Now he spend about 70% of his time and talents pushing woke shite which started almost exactly when he started seeing his wife. She’s a standard issue by the numbers woke white guilt woman. Pussy stays undefeated.

What a bunch of dumbazzes. So he used a word as a term of endearment to his buddy that is blasted ad nauseam every day by the ones bitching about. Wgaf.
And "cover me up," "sand in my boots," and "outlaw" good mf songs. Dc. Fight me.

He grew up listening to that shite with those lyrics in every song. They probably call each other that since they were kids. Just the way they talk.
They go after this kid for speaking the language and then vote for a president that called them negros and told them they ain't black.
That makes sense.

'a slap in the face' that Morgan Wallen was allowed to perform at the Grand Ole Opry
I think I'm going to find myself and the founder of the black country artist collective in agreement here. That motherfricker ain't a country singer. And the fact that he got to perform at the Opry is just a further indictment at how far the genre has fallen.

I would have more respect for someone collaborating with Kim Jong Un than with Florida Georgia Line.

I remember when black artists were similarly criticized by other black artists for slurring white people. Uh, no I don't.

He's got *some* bro country songs, but he also has a damn solid catalog outside of that.
If I Was Your Bartender is something George Jones would've sung.
