Of 75, hit three greens today and missed several 6-10 footers for par.
91.

I guess I’m back!

Well I guess the old saying is true. Every golfer eventually comes back to his handicap.

No that’s for everybody.

Even the best in the world get on the driving range sometimes and think, “ I’m don’t know what the frick to do here”

Reversion to the mean is a thing.

You will do it again sometime.

Your best golf is a small fraction of your golf.

My mediocre and bad golf dominate my last 20 rounds, but man the one magical round is so great!

Beating your handicap is only about 1 in 4 or 1 in 5.

I beat my average by 2 yesterday, but not my index.

If you see a player beat their index over and over, that is statistically unlikely, but if true the index will drop like a rock.

It's why we keep coming back. We know, somewhere in there, is another PB waiting to happen. I haven't shot in the 70's in over 2 years now. A shoulder surgery, covid break, hurricane IDA are just a few of the things that kept me away. Played Friday and shot 86 but saw enough good shots (3-5...lol) to keep me coming back.

Colin Morikawa shot 64 on Saturday and 76 on Sunday, and he had a chance to become number 1 in the world. This is why I don't beat myself up over a bad round.

Back in college when I broke 80 for the first time, I was so excited that I went back out the next morning with all the confidence in the world and promptly posted a 101.

Golf is truly the most humbling sport.
