They gave it its own category. It's still the longest bridge "continuously over water" in the world.
The others that are longer have sections where it has landings on islands or other land masses.

It's a bridge going across Lake Pontchartrain to the north shore. Feels like you are driving in the middle of the ocean on it. ETA - roughly 24 miles long. I did not know that was a bridge.

Nola looks exactly the same. They’re maxed out on land to build on. You can really see the land lost around barataria
