Saban and Les had never coached in the south when they came to LSU either. They both did alright.

I think we have 9 in state guys committed right now and we didn't even know who the coach was 24 hours ago.

I'm guesing that he's foaming at the mouth at the thought of all of the Louisiana talent he's going to have to himself over the next few seasons.

He’s a national recruiter, not just a Midwest guy, and he’s pulled a few kids from LA in recent years. It’s far from a weakness for him. Consistent top 15 classes with ND’s restrictions and smaller recruiting budget show that. With the right staff holdovers and additions, I think he will do just fine here.
