Holy shite... this dude had open heart surgery last week and is here for this case?
His resume is extremely impressive so far. I also think I read that he is doing this for free as well. I don't know if that's true because I can't find it now but I think I've read that.

Nick Rekieta said it too... he's here for free unlike the prosecution's academic who can make up to $95K from this case

The prosecution objected to this dude's resume & report as hearsay?

And there you go... he said on the stand that he's not getting paid to work on this case... and he won't get paid to work any criminal case he works on just on principle
Posted on 12/16/21 at 10:17 am to rt3
While it seems nice in principle, he should probably be paid a small reasonable fee for his work on this case. Working for free either looks like you’re motivated by politics/beliefs or that you’re getting paid by some organization under the table for your work.
The prosecution in the Chauvin case had several unpaid experts as well, I believe.

This expert is calling the prosecution's use of force academic from yesterday... essentially a liar

Witness had to retire an officer recently who had become disabled due to being drug in a vehicle by a suspect
Prosecution objected and judge struck it from the record... but the jury heard it

Witness says Potter was reasonable to use DEADLY FORCE
not the taser... he said she is justified to mean to use her gun and use it

Had to join a meeting so I missed that part. What was the objection?

I was just able to turn this back on but is Frank just reading his CV to him right now? What is going on?
Posted on 12/16/21 at 11:45 am to MFn GIMP
get to the point Frank. Where are you going with this questioning? This loser loves to hear his own voice.

Back-to-back pure character witnesses who happen to be African-American

prosecution expert witness: "I've got all this source material..."
defense expert witness: "I am the source material."

I heard that. Pretty damn funny.
So Potter takes the stand tomorrow. Should be pretty powerful and emotional etc.
I am really liking her chances at complete acquittal, but I am probably jinxing her.

Hey rt3 or anybody that knows,
I have a question about the super chat on the Rekeita stream:
If I’m watching the trial live and I pause it because I have to get some work done (God forbid), or need go do something for 30 minutes, and then I come back and press play; is the superchat still synced up with the video I am watching or is the superchat 30 minutes ahead of me in the “future”?
By the way:
those chat comments are hilarious but move so fast it’s hard to read them all!
the comments about the veteran self-defense expert of 40 years, were comedy gold!
That dude was Chuck Norris.

I think live the chat will be ahead of you if you pause the video
If you're watching in replay... the chat will stop and stay even with the video

OK thanks that’s good to know because I need to be aware of any possible spoilers in the chat, during tomorrow’s testimony.

She should be acquitted based on the evidence provided at this point. Big thing at the end of today was the judge putting in the jury instructions you may acquit if you believe taser use was warranted.
Prosecution has been pretty shite and has been mostly fluff. But they did a decent job on cross with the defense “use of force” expert, who has been the best witness thus far in this case.

I believe there's just 2 real witnesses left (I don't consider character witnesses "real" witnesses)
The slip & capture expert & Kim Potter herself
Defense could rest its case as soon as today... then we'll see if the prosecution has any rebuttal stuff to present before we get to closing and then jury deliberations

Prosecution really had no case... esp. when your main fact witnesses (the 2 officers on the scene at the time) believe she did the right thing and was completely justified
Plus the former chief saying on the stand that basically yes this case is purely political
