OL- we need an overhaul. Campbell is a must get
LB- we need some bad
QB- Walker, is he good enough to come in and start?
DL-every class
DB-

QB is huge...Max is dependable, has a year under his belt but we're going to need more from this position...to win IMHO

I'm sure Kelly understands that the SEC has adapted to modern style football...

Saban did and has accepted the fact that teams will score in this era of football.

that said UGA has fielded an NFL defense... if you can lock down modern day offenses and control the ball, victory is pretty certain.

Do we have another stud field goal kicker being recruited?

This team isn’t making a run next year. 10 wins should be the goal. Give him a couple of years to build and get his program in place

we would need about 20 portal transfers in that are all starters to compete next year.

this team is thin.

DB & LB are the main concern next year, and a D1 caliber TE

I don’t think DB is that big of a concern

We return ward, Flott, mcglothern, sage, Ray Jones etc.

Jones and McGlothern played well when Ricks and Stingley were out

Great topic. Let's get into it.

OLx100. Max got killed last game.

LB's: I think we have them, they just have had crappy coaching and need discipline.

QB: See LB's

DL: Agreed. The battles are won in the trenches.

DB: With Stingley and Ricks gone (addition by subtraction) time to add a few playmakers. Again, see LB's and QB comments as well.

Special teams: Needed are guys who can get big returns on punts and kickoffs. Something lacking this year.

Next season LSU could flirt with a new years day bowl. If things are as good as I feel with Kelly, Playoffs by 2024.

The fact that Darren Evans was on the field for pretty much every snap the last few games tells me that we need more DBs in a bad way.

Safety is unproven, they don’t have a bonafide CB1. It’s not terrible, but it’s also not up to lsu standards

LB made a much better improvement from 2020. Blake Baker is a very good LB coach.

IMO transfer portal needs to yield the minimum:
(2) OL starters, ready to play
(1) DL starter
(1) LB starter
(2) DB starters, CB and S
That's a big order.

Team has a good mix of returning skilled pos players (and inbound recruits) at WR, RB, and QB. We need to keep them all, and add more via recruiting THIS cycle. More importantly we need to improve our talent and contributing depth at the LOS (OL/DL) and in the secondary.

Right coaching staff composition will be essential to develop what we have in the program and have a top 1-3 recruiting class during the next cycle.

Winning begets more winning. Gotta win some games next season to CLEARLY demonstrate this is where you want to play CFB. Staff - facilities - product on the field. Excited to see what CBK does over the next few weeks.
