If the hire is Campbell, BOB, or Stoops, why isn't it already announced today?

Just trying to give some positivity.
There's no real reason why we have to wait to announce Stoops or Campbell. Neither are coaching next week (like Aranda) and certainly neither are waiting on potential playoff scenarios.
Same applies to BOB, as he's an OC and we shouldn't have to wait to announce him (see: Kiffin, Lane).
The downside to this logic:
1. It means Kiffin likely isn't coming, b/c he, also, has no reason to not be announced today.
2. It may mean Cristobal is the choice, b/c he still has the Pac12 title game next week

Well, you left out a few rational possibilities.
One is that Saban doesn't want BoB to announce the week of the SECCG.
Another is that Woodward whiffed on Riley and now has to turn back to his secondary candidate to finalize the deal, which takes time.

He's a slightly better version of O. All recruiting and CEO who relies on elite coordinators.
Cristobal's offense made Herbert look mediocre. Think about how hard that is to do in CFB. A generational talent at QB and they fricked it up.

I think the “hire a guy that’s the stylistic opposite of the last guy” is a trap to avoid falling into imo
Mario Cristobal would be, by far, the most accomplished coach LSU has ever hired and is an absolute monster recruiter.

Surprised UF isn’t making a run at crystal ball. Think he’d kill it there in recruiting. He’d sort out our oline but damn u can’t get over thinking about Herbert throwing WR screens 80 times a game
