Disney has removed this image from a Simpsons episode for the CCP

The episode in question, “Goo Goo Gai Pan” contained at least two references to the 1989 Tiananmen Square pro-democracy protests, specifically referencing the now-iconic photo of Tank Man, an unknown protester physically blocking a row of Chinese tanks. The episode takes several comedic swipes at the Chinese government which in the episode has attempted to suppress all memory of the incident.

We're almost past the incubation stage of the mind disease. Best course of action is to secure and store any books and other physical media which may one day tell our descendants the truth about who we really were.

Society deserves everything that's coming for having such an ignorant arse populace. I don't even feel bad for the suffering that's going to occur because they've been told a thousand times it's coming and they refuse to listen or get involved. I’ve probably invested roughly $2.5K in this this year alone. I now own 400+ movies. Some of them I don’t really like and probably won’t watch anytime soon, but I do want my theoretical children to watch them, and if not mine my friend’s kids to watch them.
Buy physical copies of everything you hold dear. If Mel Brooks died 5 years ago (he’s still alive fortunately), Blazing Saddles and the Producers would have been retired by Warner Bros by now for being racist and white supremacist. You watch that almost 3 years to the date of Mel’s unfortunate inevitable death those two will be banned. Mel won’t be betrayed by his estate as Seuss was (Max (Mel’s son) will be livid and go on every moderate and right wing show/podcast to defend his father’s incredible legacy), but the studios will betray him.

How? As soon as Seuss was cancelled, I went nuts with my spending on physical copies of works of art that will be banned in the very near future. I’ll be shocked if you can find a new Dumbo film in two years with the crows not edited out in some manner.

Yeah, until it comes for what you love. The new Lord of the Rings show is going to be a disaster, but there is a petty silver lining to this: Stephen Colbert. Colbert is as big of a Tolkien nerd as there is and when the Seuss estate removed several of their books and eBay banned the sale of those books, he said that it was the right and responsible thing to do. Now it’s coming for his precious, and it’s going to be hilarious to see him appalled by the adaptation. Can’t wait until it comes after yours as well.
