Definitely things going on behind the scenes, I think Scott bagged him.

No LSU boosters revolting or panicking either, otherwise you would hear about it or see it posted here. Woodward has them satisfied.

You think Scott would go duck hunting in crunch time of the coaching search if he didn’t have his man?

All these other coaches worked it to perfection too. Let their name circulate long enough to get their school to pony up an extension and then accept the offer right before LSU lets everyone know you were never in the running

I agree it's very strange that we haven't heard anything about Riley getting a new contract, but Tucker, Franklin, and Aranda have new deals ... Hymmmmm

OU offered Riley an extension. They don’t want it public because LSU embarrasses them in terms of money. Riley hasn’t accepted OUs offer, which points strongly to LSU landing him at this point.

This isn’t true, and I’m not sure why LSU fans would believe this. Not going to get into the details, but y’all need to stop selling your program short. This wasn’t a decision due to $. It helped, sure, but it wasn’t a $ decision.

that’s not an accident.

So you're conceding Riley to LSU?

Conceding? I’m the one that said this Sunday night, and against yesterday (check my post history)

That’s why I know what was posted was false. OU told LR they’d match any offer if it meant he’d stay, but it wasn’t the money that intrigued Riley. It’s titles that LSU has won recently, it’s the commitment to the facilities when needed, it’s the promise to pay coordinators north of 2m if asked.

That’s why I said not to sell your program short by thinking this is a money reason. He didn’t leave because OU wasn’t willing to pay the same deal LSU offered. He left for the program, the ability to win and compete more easily.

This is why I’m feeling it’s Riley.
Napier is almost at Florida because he likely knows a deal is in place with someone else already.

Your right to some degree. Think of it this way. Riley is seeing this massive contract LSU is offering, and he feels valued at a program that is just as good or better then his current program. Riley then sees OUs extension offer and thinks which program really wants me more. That would be LSU. The whole LSU administration knows they are a coach away from being elite year after year. They are giving Riley everything he wants/ needs.

OU isn’t these little programs that have to announce an immediate extension

That could be a face saving move by Baylor.

They offer Aranda an extension, but can't match LSU. Aranda moves on, Grimes steps into the void, no harm no foul.

Baylor is about to enter P5 purgatory with the disintegration of the B12, wherever Aranda ends up this is probably his best chance to secure a top 10 job.
