Dude got Washington into the playoffs. He would kill at LSU. Wouldn’t even be fair really.

Before his retirement it was obvious he had let it slip, and it was absolutely due to recruiting. Is University of Washington a tough sell on a marquee player? I would damn sure think so.

Most folks completely dismissed the Petersen possibility as quickly as they dismissed Fickell. Folks forget Woody loves him some Petersen, and Petersen loves him some Woody.. Then all this thick arse smoke came from all these sports writers. I'm down to Riley or Petersen. I'm riding for both.

I openly wondered aloud to my friends what he could do at LSU, what he did at sub par programs is undeniable. I'd be ok with Riley, Aranda(especially with Herman as OC), Fickell, or Peterson

If Woodward were to get him, I'd be floored. Mainly because Petersen decided on his own to get away from coaching and spend time with family.
With that being said, he's a great coach. I just don't know if he'd do it.
If it was him, I think it would've been announced. There's really no reason not to announce it. Unless Woodward thinks it could be a distraction to the LSU team before the season ends. That's really the only reason I can think of.
