Anyone know what brand and model knee braces our OLinemen wear? Our booster club is looking into them for our high school team.

If your booster club can afford $400 a brace then more power to you. A lot of colleges use DonJoy brand. No studies have proven any significant benefits of wearing them.

DonJoy is best you will find to prevent medial or lateral meniscus tears from side blows to the knee

The braces doesn’t offer drastic protection, multiple studies have proven this. I can link them if you want. You can just as easily tear it without the brace.

Get a better S&C coach or send the kids to a good PT and save your money on the braces. Seriously, if those kids are having knee issues or pain it’s because your strength and conditioning program is shite

Mind your own business moron. I know what I’m talking about on this topic, don’t need your rantard bullshite incorrect input. If their boosters are looking to purchase knee braces en masse it’s because the issue is abnormally bad, and I hate to be the one to have to explain this to you, but there are a lot of HS S&C coaches out there who aren’t remotely worth a shite, and looking there to start would be smarter than buying braces that don’t do anything.

They actually use a company called Breg for their custom knee braces. Equivalent if not better than DonJoy. They also do special pricing for high school athletic programs.

I agree some high schools place anyone in that position. Do you know that to be the case in this situation? You seem to imply that just because you have a good strength coach that knee injuries don’t happen. I guess Alabama, Ohio State, LSU etc have crap for strength coaches.

You idiots probably agree on the facts, but you’re just too lazy to write out complete thoughts, and you both want to argue.

Any sentient person would agree that:

1. Knee injuries happen in spite of the best S&C.
2. Excellent S&C can lessen the number of knee injuries.
3. Knee braces do SOME good, but are not a panacea.

Saban and Belichick both have their linemen use them
