Mel is a good coach and may turn out to be a great one but to commit to $9.5M per I’d need to see more trophies in the case and skins on the wall.

I've been saying for weeks Mel Tucker would get big money and MSU would counter any offer for him. Mel will sign the extension and the MSU billionaires are making the financial commitment to not just Mel and his assistants but also for facility upgrades. Now, you see it. MSU hired Mel Tucker to build that program into what they would've been had Saban stayed there.

Let those MSU billionaires who are paying Mel worry about that. Are you upset because Mel's deal resets the coaching market? I don't understand. A $15 million/year and $20 million/year college football coach is coming soon.

It's been held up by State's president, for some B.S. reasons that are not deal killers. Nothing to do with Tucker not wanting to sign.

The news that’s it’s being held up by the president is just a rumor board trustees are even shooting down though.
