Here's the Company That Bill Gates Thinks Is the Clear Coronavirus Vaccine Leader….
Bill Gates isn't an epidemiologist. He has no medical training. But when the billionaire philanthropist talks about vaccines, it pays to listen.
He and his wife founded the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in 2000. Since then, the nonprofit foundation has invested heavily in vaccine development across the world. Gates has personally championed making vaccines available to people in developing nations.
When the coronavirus outbreak began, he was an early advocate of using science to prevent the virus's spread. The Gates Foundation quickly began funding initiatives to develop vaccines, treatments, and diagnostic tests for COVID-19.
CNBC interviewed Bill Gates earlier this week about his thoughts on the state of COVID-19 vaccine development. His comments indicate that he believes one company is a clear leader in the race to develop a coronavirus vaccine: Pfizer (NYSE:PFE).
…. Pfizer and its partner, BioNTech (NASDAQ:BNTX), initiated a phase 2/3 clinical study on July 27 evaluating coronavirus vaccine candidate BNT162b2. A few days ago, the two companies announced that they hope to expand the size of the study from 30,000 participants to 44,000. Pfizer and BioNTech remain optimistic that they will report efficacy results for BNT162b2 by the end of October.
Is Pfizer a good bet?
Pfizer seems to have the inside track to become the first to win FDA authorization for its coronavirus vaccine. But is the big pharma stock a good bet for investors?
The Gates Foundation apparently thinks so. The foundation invested in Pfizer back in 2002 and still owns shares. It also owns shares of Pfizer's coronavirus development partner, BioNTech….

A little-noticed interview from last week with a U.K. think tank saw Microsoft founder Bill Gates make some incredible statements about his most prized “solution” to the pandemic.
"We didn't have vaccines that block transmission," said Gates, contradicting previous interviews in which he claimed the shots significantly block transmission. "We got vaccines that help you with your health, but they only slightly reduce the transmission,” he added.
[The vast majority of the interview involves Gates demanding totalitarian solutions to bad weather, which he refers to as climate change. The part about the COVID shots comes at minute 27.]
Gates is correct about the fact that the shots aren’t blocking transmission. With record COVID numbers coming out of Europe, it’s become obvious that the mRNA shots are doing little, if nothing at all, to stop transmission. Moreover, the impact shots these shots have in preventing a positive COVID test appear to expire after 6-9 months.
Gates wasn’t done. He added a pretty shocking statement to top it off: “We need a new way of doing the vaccines."
Just like that, Gates appears to be wiping his hands clean of his involvement in the worldwide mRNA experiment.
It’s a surprising tone from a man whose foundation has accumulated hundreds of millions of dollars (thanks to pre-IPO access to BioNtech, the maker of the “Pfizer shot”) from the shots, in addition to his fierce advocacy for them.
Additionally, Gates has added billions of dollars in income to his personal arsenal during the pandemic.
