Most people here drive shitty older cars and less than half are insured so I doubt it will cause any problems.

There will be exceptions which will likely mirror Democrat voting strongholds.

Nobody in NOLA proper will be able to afford a new EV 5yrs from now. Everybody who can will be long gone.

We are probably moving out early next year, just have to sell our house to a Zillow AI or something and figure out where to go while buying a new one

The alcohol monitors will be declared unconstitutional after long and unnecessary court battles. But, regardless, yes, the great abandonment of New Orleans has already begun.

Post-Katrina population peaked in 2017 with 232K people, now it's down 4K, New births can't keep up with the people moving out.
In 1960 627K people lived here. Heck, in the 90s almost 500K people lived here. But you know, "racism" is the reason everyone except the most broke people are leaving. My last friends moved out last year.

If driving a new car in New Orleans just turn it off when they carjack you and run away. They’ll have to give up on starting it and you can just come get your car later.
