I’m not a fan.

I respect him, but if he was really a good coach, he would have taken an NBA gig.

I always thought it speaks volumes about his character when he had the postgame interaction with Oregon’s Dillon Brooks in 2016.

That’s a bitchass thing to nitpick… coach was 100% right to say what he said

Now that I’ve learned that Coach K is a swamp rat who digs Fauci, my respect for him decreased a big ton

He def comes off like that in his interviews and press conferences. now that I've gained familiarity with all aspects of his style and personality, I get it and it doesn't surprise me that his on and off-court personalities differ greatly but I don't buy his goody two shoes press conference schtick anymore, dude insults our intelligence every time he does that now.

The time he decided to have back surgery in midseason because his team sucked, handed the keys to Pete Gaudet, watched his team crater, fired Gaudet after the season and then got the NCAA to give all the losses to Gaudet’s record.

Tied for second are the multiple times he called student newspaper reporters into his office to berate them and to try to intimidate them.

Every school in the ACC should play a montage of all of his team’s flops and other dirty play (Grayson Allen says hello) over the years before introducing him and then tell their crowd to let him know how they really feel.

He’s one of the biggest phonies in all of sports who has been enabled by the John Feinsteins, Seth Davises and Jay Bilases of the media. There are more, but those 3 come to mind as chief enablers.

To be fair, Dean Smith exhibited a lot of the same fake qualities when he was coaching as did the recently retired Huckleberry Hound, Roy Williams. Duke and North Carolina are made for each other.

I think you are missing the biggest enabler of them all.

When we beat them in the Sweet 16 in 2000. They were the #1 overall seed and had never lost in the East region.

Good coach but a phony at the same time. He cusses up a storm from what I’ve heard, but pretends to be this great guy. Bent over backwards to keep JJ Redick out of trouble.
