re: Breaking: Broncos trade Von Miller to the LA Rams for 2022 2nd & 3rd round picks

What is Denver’s long term play right now? This suggests they are shifting into a rebuild now. Seemed for a while with the Rodgers and Watson rumors they were going to hold their defensive core together with the hopes of landing the right QB to make themselves a contender.
Also is Fangio a dead man walking?

Is he still good? Year 10 in league, has outlived most LBs

Broncos need to unload anyone who can get a decent return
Trade Melvin Gordon to the Titans
Unload Kareem, Fuller, Fant, Teddy
Blow it up

quote:Yes. Pat Shurmur might not make it much longer. I expect Vic Fangio to last until the end and then be let go.

I think he’s in that “still good but not as good as people think” stage of his career.
There will be people losing their minds and acting like he’s still 2015 Von Miller, which will be too much, but also I don’t want to act like he’s a scrub at this point either.

I’m cheering for LA to win it all for him. He deserves it.

4th in blitz attempts, but a low sack rate
22nd in qb pressures
definetly still well above league average. not really elite

Wow Rams. If he stays healthy, the NFC is fricked

Still productive, but injury prone
Definitely nowhere what he uses to be but thats to be expected with his age and injury history

The Rams aren't just going to slide back to mediocrity in a couple of years, it's going to be straight to the basement of the entire NFL.

It is funny seeing this onslaught of “hell yeah look at the Rams going all in THATS how you do it!” Tweets going out when we all know the second they lose a game those same people will tweet out that the Rams have no draft picks and no way to improve the team if they end up losing a few games in a row or not winning the SB this year

I hadn't thought about this and it actually makes a lot of sense.

Agreed. Now, what we might see is a surge in his efficiency since there are others that require so much attention.

Yeah, the back half of the decade is looking to be pretty rough for them so McVay better get a Lombardi or two to give him cover during those lean years, assuming his goal is actually to stay with the Rans during the rebuild and not just to cash in and head to the broadcast studio or start doing the McVayCast when the Mannings get bored with it.

End of an era. The last remaining member of the Super Bowl 50 squad.

I still don't know what kind of team they even are. 7-1 with only one win against a team with winning record. Last 3 opponents have gone a combined...3-20.
The field has such better odds, can't believe the degree to which they are willing to go for a shot at one.

They should unload to start the rebuild and throw a bunch of money at Tomlin.

Oof miss by me. I don’t count special teams in my head however McManus is one of the best.
Wonder if we see any Lock starts?
