LSU is in it's best position ever to hire a coach. The position has never been as appealing.

I will never understand why everyone insists on making everything a zero sum game
There's appeal to both, i would agree that LSU is a better job, but positives for USC would include an easier path to the playoff, when USC has its shite together they can dominate out west and some people really like LA/So Cal lifestyle etc.
It all depends on what the individual coaches preferences are

I totally agree. Anyone accepting less is just searching for excuses.
