Give CEO Credit

I don't think CEO is a good coach and he certainly shouldn't still be standing on the sidelines at LSU. However, the guy worked his way to being the head coach at both Ole Miss and LSU. You don't achieve that without being a hard worker, showing up everyday, being willing to do stuff no one else wants to do, etc. He was obviously smart enough to figure out the system and navigate it two these two HC jobs. There are tons of coaches out there that would love to be the HC at an SEC school and they will never sniff a job offer.
So at the end of the day, give the guy his due. He brought a NC to LSU and he is walking away with a ton of cash. Not a bad resume, even if it includes multiple well detailed train wrecks.

He brought a Natty and he’s going out like a man. He’s not kicking and screaming on his way out.
I don’t like how we have looked, but I’ll never hate in the man.

You won’t win many upvotes on this board because everyone’s a CEO of a company, could lead LSU to a perfect season, and has a perfect/flawless life at home.
His recent struggles make it hard to defend him but I agree with you. Even his “binder” that most make fun of is an example of showing up prepared and having a plan. Majority of folks today can’t say that about almost anything in their life…just saying

If you think coaching is a meritocracy you’re sadly mistaken. O definitely hasn’t earned his way up the coaching ranks and that’s obvious.

Bingo, he’s being treated with kid gloves because he knows where the bodies are buried and they don’t want him starting trouble shooting his mouth off.

Dude, this program can turn around on a dime.
Remember that.
It will always have the potential to be great. It ain’t hard to right the track here.

2018 and 2019 were great. Rest of it was bad. Overall net positive. See ya CEO.

His cousin is in politics. He got where he was due to nepotism. If you think Orgeron was qualified for the job, or that Alleva was qualified to hire said "coach", you're a fricking moron.

I’ll give him credit for being able to prove a large portion of our fan base wrong and subsequently proving those same people right.
That isn’t easy.
